Coordinator, Training and Development--Custodial Services -#0041012-
The Training and Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Department of Custodial Services by designing and presenting training and orientation programs for new & existing front-line staff, supervisors and managers. The coordinator will provide technical expertise while assisting the Director with recommendations for ensuring that the department meets all regulatory rules and guidelines for local, state, and federal agencies. This position supports the custodial department's involvement in the hiring search committee process. The Training and Development Coordinator works with the department Managers, Supervisors and Quality Assurance Administrator to assure a clean and safe environment for our customers, staff and visitors. This position will support a department of approximately 200 employees.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Development, Hotel/Hospitality Management, or Facilities Management and three years cleaning experience in the housekeeping health care, university or hospitality industry required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated experience training in presentations and adult learning required. ASH's and REH certified, or the ability to obtain both certifications. Demonstrated ability to train entry level service employees required. Proven effective verbal and written communication skills and evidence of strong presentation skills. Proficiency in office software applications. Demonstrated understanding of employee motivation, adult learning principles, and team building skills. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, supplies and equipment.
