SENIOR ASSOCIATE DEAN OF DIVERSITY & GLOBAL INITIATIVES
OVERVIEW: The Wake Forest University School of Business is seeking qualified, senior (Full Professor preferred) candidates for a tenured faculty appointment as Senior Associate Dean of Diversity & Global Initiatives. Candidates should possess a PhD (or similar, equivalent degree) with a minimum of 10 years academic faculty experience. The selected candidate will: (1) lead diversity and global initiatives at both the graduate and undergraduate level and (2) provide strategic leadership toward a culture of diversity and inclusion. The program leadership role is a 12-month per year appointment, offers a highly competitive package of compensation and benefits, and would include some classroom teaching.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: The School of Business places high value on excellence in teaching and research. Credentials and experience appropriate to Full Professor rank and tenure are preferred, but experienced Associate Professors with demonstrated excellence in teaching and research will also be considered for the position.
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic faculty leader with a clear passion for diversity and global initiatives education. We seek to recruit an effective leader with a collaborative leadership style that will work with our faculty and staff colleagues to establish and implement a shared vision for diversity and global initiatives. The selected candidate should have a strong desire and ability to partner with the business community and a proven capability to implement innovative programs that meet the current and future talent needs of leading organizations. He/she should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and experience in working with multiple stakeholders (students, alumni, recruiters, and administration) in a dynamic environment. The candidate must have a robust commitment to teaching excellence and a proven record of research accomplishments.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
lead the development of new diversity and global initiatives while enhancing education in our existing programs;
provide thought leadership to executive and program administration; and
collaborate with our advancement colleagues to secure external resources (gifts and grants) to support initiatives.

practice-based intellectual contributions that have significant impact on organizations and are valued by thought leaders in the marketplace; or
pedagogical intellectual contributions that explore the application of our educational framework and are valued by thought leaders in the academy.
Develops and refines the vision, strategy, and action plans for a diverse and inclusive environment in the School of Business;
Advises, educates, and coaches the Dean and members of the School’s Leadership Team on matters of diversity;
Leads the integration of Pluralism in Business concepts (i.e., self-awareness, empathy, leveraging diversity, and global mindset) into curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities in all academic programs;
Develops and implements programmed learning opportunities for faculty, staff, and students on diversity and global mindset;
Collaborates with the University’s Office of Diversity & Inclusion and serves as a liaison for the School of Business on University-wide diversity committees;
Cultivates relationships with current corporate partners that support the School’s diversity initiatives and develops relationships with new partners;
Conducts ongoing benchmarking studies with peer schools in the areas of student and faculty diversity;
Engages leaders and members of diversity-related clubs (e.g., Black
Business Students Association, International Students Association, Women in Business) on a regular basis; and
Works with the University’s Center for Global Programs and Studies and the School’s Coordinator of Global Initiatives to provide strategic direction for international immersion experiences.
FARRELL HALL: As of Summer 2013, Wake Forest business programs and faculty are housed in Farrell Hall, the new four-level, 120,000-square foot home of the Wake Forest School of Business. WAKE FOREST UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF BUSINESS: The unified Wake Forest University School of Business was formed after the merger of the former Calloway School of Business and Accountancy and the Babcock Graduate School of Management (both AACSB accredited). The current roster of business programs within the School of Business includes: Undergraduate Finance, Undergraduate Business and Enterprise Management, Undergraduate Mathematical Business, Master of Science in Accountancy, Master of Arts in Management, Full-time MBA, and Working Professional MBA.
