Visiting Assistant Professor in International Relations

St. Norbert College invites applications for a one-year, full time position as a Visiting Assistant Professor in Political Science and International Studies for the 2014-15 academic year beginning August of 2014. The successful applicant will have a Ph.D. or be ABD with a concentration in International Relations, and will teach the introductory course in International Studies as well as an upper division course in international relations theory. The successful candidate will also be required to teach additional courses that meet the needs of the Political Science discipline. The ability to teach in the area of comparative politics would be beneficial but is not required.

Visiting assistant professors typically teach three four-credit courses each semester. Visiting assistants have no committee or academic advising duties. The position is annually renewable up to three years, contingent on performance reviews. St. Norbert College prides itself on offering competitive salaries and benefits.

The successful candidate will become a member of a four-person Political Science discipline. The current members represent a broad array of subfields, and share a commitment to excellence in teaching undergraduates and collaborating with or supervising them in research and/or internship activities.
