Vice President for Finance (214UC9955)
The University of Cincinnati is seeking applications for the Vice President of Finance. This position reports to the Senior Vice President for Administration and Finance and is responsible for the fiscal oversight and financial integrity of the University. The Vice President provides strong leadership, vision, planning, and direction for all facets of the financial operations of a budget in excess of $1.1 billion, including annual planning and budget development, oversight of funding for capital improvement projects, strategic planning, and long-range financial projections. Additional responsibilities include management for the following major administrative areas: Budget and Financial Services, Business Core Systems, Campus Services (Auxiliaries), Facilities Management, University Controller, University Treasurer, and Utilities. This position serves as financial advisor to the Senior Vice President for Administration and Finance, as well as the President, and regularly provides financial reports to the Board of Trustees.

Qualifications:
• A master’s degree or equivalent in business administration, public policy or related field from an accredited institution.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred.
• Eight (8) to ten (10) years of directly related experience in progressively responsible business/financial level of management, with at least six (6) years at a senior level position.
• Experience as a senior level administrator in a higher education environment preferred.

Skills & abilities: Strong management, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills; an excellent record of leadership in policy formation, including planning, assessment, project accounting, grant and general administration; demonstrated expertise in the development and implementation of strategic financial plans; effective written and oral communication skills; strong working knowledge of financial and information technologies; ability to work effectively with internal and external constituencies.
