Information Technology Coordinator (Position 124740)
The University of West Florida in Pensacola, FL is seeking a full-time Information Technology Coordinator for the Division of Continuing Education. In this capacity, the employee will be responsible for the operational support, maintenance, improvement and security of continuing education programs technology infrastructure and for enabling effective, efficient, and innovative use of that technology. Specific duties include assisting program staff with the safe, effective, and productive use of information technology; investigating and resolving technology problems and malfunctions; configuring and installing IT hardware and software; conducting proactive preventive maintenance on the unit's equipment and infrastructure including desktops, peripherals, network resources, accounts, and web services; maintaining and configuring the Continuing Education technology lab for multi-purpose uses and users; researching, specifying, and advising on the renewal and replacement needs and purchases of information technology equipment, software, and services; maintaining accurate inventory/maintenance records on information technology equipment, software, and services; and acting as the IT Local Service Provider for Continuing Education programs.
Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting common productivity suites such as Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Adobe Creative Suite and web technology applications; experience with system administration, security management, and software deployment; demonstrated ability to research and learn new technologies and stay current on technological advances; strong communication, organization, diplomacy, and collaboration skills; excellent analytical, time management, and prioritization skills; an understanding and practice of industry and university standards as exemplified by appropriate certifications (i.e. CompTIA's A+, Security+, Network+ and Microsoft's MCSA, MCTS, etc.).
