Visiting Assistant Professor or Visiting Instructor, Comparative Politics

Franklin & Marshall College invites applications for a one-year position for Comparative Politics in the Department of Government beginning Fall 2018. The rank will be Visiting Assistant Professor or Visiting Instructor, depending on qualifications. Applicants must possess or be close to completing a doctorate (or terminal degree) in political science. Position is open to all geographic areas that would complement existing faculty strengths in Latin America and African politics. Applicants should have training in comparative politics, with the expectation that the successful candidate will teach an introductory course in comparative politics and upper level courses related to candidate's field of expertise.

Teaching experience preferred. Teaching load is 3/2 and may include participation in the College's general education requirement, ("Connections"). Candidates must submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, graduate transcript, teaching and research statement, and teaching evaluation forms to Applicants must arrange for three letters of support to be submitted by recommenders directly to Interfolio.
