UC Santa Barbara's Division of Professional and Continuing Education (Extension) invites applications for an Academic Program Director (Continuing Educator II ), effective July 1, 2018. The Division of Professional and Continuing Education serves the campus, regional, and global community with customized educational programs designed to help advance careers and lifelong learning objectives. In this role the incumbent will be responsible for developing, designing, implementing and evaluating international and domestic continuing education programs. The successful candidate must have experience in curriculum development and program assessment, budgeting and financial management, experience in outreach and organizational collaborations, personnel management, and excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Preference will be given to applicants who have expertise in online learning technologies, knowledge of marketing, professional experience in both university and private sectors, experience in project management, and a commitment to exceptional customer service.

The Department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching and service.

A Ph.D. in Education or a terminal degree (Ph.D., M.B.A., J.D.) in business, management, law, international business, international education or related fields is required and expected by the time of appointment.
