Senior Prospect Research Associate
The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the Senior Prospect Research Associate position in the Medical and Health Sciences Foundation.

The Senior Prospect Research Associate will conduct detailed, in-depth research on individual, corporate and/or foundation prospects for major gifts ($100K and above) and special gifts (below $100K) to University of Pittsburgh Schools of the Health Sciences and/or UPMC.

Through direct communication with fundraisers and executive administrators, the incumbent will maintain an awareness of fundraising activities/needs and provide information to respond to those needs by creating concise, accurate research profiles as well as proactively identifying new potential prospects.

The incumbent must possess superior analytical abilities, highly sophisticated research skills, and expertise in technologies and techniques required to resourcefully produce cogent and insightful reports.

Bachelor's degree - Master's preferred. Five years of experience in prospect research or equivalent combination of training and experienceFamiliarity with online electronic databases used for prospect research, such as Lexis/Nexis, Wealth Engine, ProQuest, NOZA, etc.Advanced knowledge of the internet an internet-searching techniques.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Superior communication, organizational, project management, writing, and analytical skills.Ability to manage multiple clients and to meet deadlines.Advanced proficiency with APRA International's Body of Knowledge "Prospect Research" Competencies and familiarity/proficiency with BOK "Relationship Management" CompetenciesKnowledge of MHSF's mission, history, programs, goals, philosophy and funding needs.Knowledge of healthcare-related fundraising and the structure and function of health science schools.
