Namely, Dominican University will be an innovative leader in empowering graduates from diverse backgrounds to meet the challenges of an increasingly interdependent world.

A strong focus on outcomes is situated within a deeply relationship-centered culture of Dominican University that emphasizes a shared sense of mission, community, hospitality and collaboration. The successful candidate will be a seasoned, senior-level academic administrator with demonstrated experience facilitating strategic planning, assessing institutional effectiveness, and developing and executing data-informed policy and decision-making; a record of overseeing enrollment growth and innovation in academic programming; experience in creating an environment of equity and inclusive excellence; and outstanding managerial, interpersonal and communication skills. A doctorate or appropriate terminal degree plus academic credentials that merit an appointment with tenure at the rank of full Professor in one of the University’s colleges is required. The Provost will understand, appreciate and embrace the Catholic Dominican mission and ethos that distinguish the university.

The new Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs is expected to assume office by July 1, 2019.
