Coordinator - Distance Marketing
Position Description:

Performs supervisory and coordinative work in the operation of a specific program or departmental project. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a specific program as well as the monitoring of program staff and operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise program staff, volunteers and student assistants.

Major / Essential Job Functions:

• Market and promote Library's Master of Science in Library & Information Science program and other distance programs to campus and external audiences working with Libraries C/M creative team, as well as with external advertising and marketing agencies.
• Manage MSLIS social media accounts via Hootsuite dashboard and/or other monitoring tools; and/or work with C/M multimedia manager to push MSLIS messaging and manage paid social media advertising.
• Assist with recruiting, public relations and outreach events for MSLIS program as needed.
• Adhere to Texas Tech identity guidelines and maintain and oversee use of MSLIS lockups, as well as provide basic graphic design assistance with MSLIS-branded initiatives.
• Assist with other Texas Tech Libraries distance marketing initiatives and publications, including Texas Tech Costa Rica Library.
• Assist Libraries C/M creative team with broader Library events and communications & marketing initiatives as needed including Tailgate, awareness campaigns and speaker events.
• Assist Libraries C/M creative team with Library multi-media initiatives as needed including social media, videography, photography and print and digital graphics.

Required Qualifications:

High school graduation plus five (5) years progressively responsible related experience; additional related education may exchange for required experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc).
Social media management platforms such as Hootsuite, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.), website content management system knowledge, graphic design, photography. videography.
