Library Assistant - Digital Resources
Ability to perform semi-professional work on various projects and programs. Work is performed under supervision within established policies with latitude for independent judgment. Employee performance is based upon a review of completed work and overall results obtained. Performs basic duties.

Essential Job Functions:
*Coordinate manuscripts through the publishing process.
*Coordinate between vendors to take manuscripts through editing, typesetting, and publication.
*Contact, liaison with, and coordinate peer reviews.
*Communicate with authors.
*Assist in work supporting digital initiatives in the library by metadata creation, metadata editing, digital preservation preparation tasks, metadata cleanup, quality control, and other tasks supporting digital initiatives as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
High School diploma plus 2 yrs. of work experience. Additional education may substitute on a year for year basis. Microsoft Office experience; excellent customer service skills. Effective interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrates flexibility in work assignments. Works with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. Keyboarding skills which result in a high level of accuracy. Ability to learn and work with computer applications unique to libraries and archives.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related field.
