Job Purpose
Towson University is accepting applications for a Recruitment Coordinator. This position will oversee on-campus recruitment operations including development and implementation of strategies to increase employment opportunities and hiring of students and graduates. Strategically identify, build, nurture and service relationships with local, regional and national employers, and Career Center Partners for recruitment of students and alumni and strengthening of employer brands on campus.

Employer Relations
Create, maintain and expand positive relationships with local, regional, and national employers engaged in hiring TU students and alumni for internships, part-time, and full-time jobs. Support employers in establishing their brands and marketing opportunities on campus. In collaboration with the External Relations (ER) team, contribute to the development and implementation of the external relations strategic plan for building and facilitating connections leading to recruitment of Towson University students. Establish, develop and manage employers' recruiting efforts and oversee the development and enforcement of policies related to Handshake and on-campus recruitment. Identify employer needs and recommend recruiting options, strategies and sponsorship opportunities. Work with employers to post jobs and market positions via Handshake and other marketing channels. Research potential employer partnerships between the university and external community with the goal of expanding employment opportunities for the TU community. Serve as relationship manager for select/identified employer partners.

On-Campus Recruiting Program Management
Manage the On-Campus Recruiting Program, including employer information sessions, tabling, on-campus interviews, and special online employer recruiting activities. Advise employers on appropriateness of employer expectations, on-site recruiting process, and job descriptions. Organize and set the annual recruiting calendar, including all deadlines and processes. Work collaboratively with colleges to foster seamless employer and student interactions. Connect employer information with college liaisons and career communities to ensure smooth hand-off of employer needs. Work with the ER team on the development of policies for employer and student participation in recruiting program. Review and enforce policies with employer representatives, negotiating satisfactory solutions. Enforce student adherence to recruiting deadlines, procedures, and schedules. Promote employment opportunities, on-campus interviews, information sessions and events to students, faculty, student groups via Career Center newsletters, college liaisons and career communities. Provide leadership for the scheduling and execution of various recruiting events and utilization of the Skype interview facility. Write and disseminate quarterly employer newsletters containing on-campus recruiting updates. Review and approve position postings in Handshake to ensure compliance with established policies.

Database Management and Reporting
Manage the use of Handshake's recruitment functions and serve the Career Center's lead for user experience, including identification of ways to maximize the platform's functionality. Monitor job postings and interview schedules. Responsible for the recruiting sections of Career Center Annual Report. Maintain program records and statistical information related to employer program accountability and future opportunities. Monitor data management systems for the collection of scheduling, interviewing, position posting, employer and stakeholder engagement data. Conduct employer surveys of services and interviewing experiences. Lead effort to collect employer-reported hiring data (in coordination with Assessment and Analytics Coordinator).

Recruit, hire, train and supervise Employer Relations Student Assistants. Train student assistants in delivering recruiting services to employers and OCR scheduling services to students.

Professional Development
Proactively stay current on related professional topics, best practices, and trends; includes participation in internal and external conferences and trainings, professional associations, webinars, independent reading, connection to other professionals, etc.

Career Center Team Contributions
Actively participate in staff and team meetings; provide support as needed to Center's programs and initiatives; represent the Career Center on divisional and university committees; other duties as assigned that aid in the obtainment of the Career Center's mission.

Specialty Programming
Coordinate, promote, and evaluate Employer Mock Interview Program, Diversity Works and any newly developed specialty programs. Help students become more comfortable in various interview situations (Skype and in-person) through the development and implementation of a mock interview program. Recruit and engage with alumni and employers to serve as program volunteers. Ensure students' preparation and compliance with program processes. Lead and provide logistical and programmatic oversight of the Employer Mock Interview, Diversity Works and any other special programs.

Employer Development Assistance
Assist Associate Director with logistics and customer service needs of employer development/partnership work.

Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of professional work experience; ability to work with students, faculty, and staff in a wide array of situations; ability to work with a range of employers; ability to work independently and carry out assignments and projects without detailed instructions. Must possess exemplary organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong customer service focus and a high level of professionalism when interacting with internal and external clients. Patient attitude towards all stakeholders. Ability to develop creative solutions to unique problems. Proven ability to work independently under pressure with frequent interruptions. Demonstrated ability to master Internet-based recruiting programs and learn new technologies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and computer skills required; proficiency in Microsoft Office and the Internet required. Knowledge of issues related to employment barriers, issues of workplace accommodations, and the needs of a diverse student population. Experience with the application of equity, diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

• A Master's degree in related field.
