Job Purpose
The College of Education at Towson University is seeking an edTPA Coordinator to facilitate and support the implementation of edTPA across all teacher certification programs. The Teacher Performance Assessment (edTPA) is a performance-based, subject-specific assessment and support system used by teacher preparation programs throughout the United States to emphasize, measure and support the skills and knowledge that all teachers need in the classroom. The edTPA Coordinator is responsible for all facets of the edTPA and is the College of Education's central point of contact for edTPA and related matters. The edTPA Coordinator serves as the resident edTPA expert, providing critical guidance and direct support to teacher candidates, from the point of admission through completion of the program. He or she will also work closely with faculty and staff, providing support and recommendations toward continuous improvements in edTPA training, implementation and outcomes.

Description
Access and distribute edTPA resources (handbooks, online resources, templates) to colleagues, candidates and supervisors as needed. Remain current on national and state changes/updates to the edTPA process. Attend edTPA related conferences. Serve as the key edTPA contact person for candidates, supervisors, and mentor teachers during development and completion of the edTPA. Represent the University on various local, state and national committees related to the implementation and monitoring of edTPA. Develop and provide on-going professional development for faculty, supervisors and other education professionals supporting edTPA activities. Speak to candidates in classes as requested to inform candidates about edTPA and provide on-going support for candidates. Create and share reports and data analysis with faculty, departments and other stakeholders. Inform faculty and supervisors as well as key personnel of changes in the edTPA assessment and resources. Support teacher candidates with Pearson registration, portfolio management and uploading edTPA components to Pearson.

Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Two years of experience
• Strong communication skills
• Strong technology skills
• Ability with collaborate with a range of stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and lead tasks

Preferred:
• Experience in Education
• Master’s degree
• Knowledge about educational assessment
• Ability to work with video files (e.g. compression)
• Experience with edTPA
• Experience designing and implementing professional development
