Associate Professor
The Department of Community Health at Tufts University invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Associate or Full Professor. All qualified candidates in areas of Public Health are encouraged to apply. We are especially interested in candidates with expertise in global health, data science/analytics, and/or mental health from a U.S. or global perspective. The successful candidate will have a strong record of scholarly achievement, including a track record of extramural funding. Candidates must also demonstrate a strong commitment to student teaching and advising, preferably at the undergraduate level, and a commitment to fostering an environment of inclusion and collegiality. Inclusion is a core value of the Department of Community Health.

The position includes teaching and service with full 9-month salary support. In addition to maintaining an active research portfolio, the successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in the department, advise undergraduate Community Health students on course planning, senior honors theses, and other matters related to teaching and advising students. Other responsibilities include mentoring other faculty members and participation in department, school, and university-wide service.

Candidates are expected to have a doctoral degree or equivalent in one of the following areas: global health, epidemiology, biostatistics, social/behavioral health sciences, or related health or social science field. University-level teaching experience is required and experience teaching, and mentoring undergraduates is preferred. A successful candidate will demonstrate a clear commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate level and working with a diverse student population, and dedication to collaboration with faculty within and beyond the department. There are also opportunities for collaborative research with the Tufts University School of Medicine, the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy, and the Jonathan Tisch College for Civic Engagement.
