Assistant Professor in Aquatic Ecology
The Department of Biological Sciences at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level. The department is seeking applicants with training in aquatic ecology or related disciplines focusing on freshwater ecosystems. The successful candidate will share responsibility for teaching a general ecology course and an introductory course for biology majors, teach an upper division aquatic ecology course and other courses in area of expertise, and may also participate in non-majors courses in biology. Candidates should exhibit potential for independent and innovative research involving Master’s and undergraduate students.

Minimum Qualifications
A Ph.D. in biological sciences or related field with specialization in aquatic ecology or a related discipline. Post-doctoral teaching and/or research experience strongly preferred.

Terms of Appointment
Continuing academic year (nine month) appointment; tenure eligible.
