Job Purpose
The Center for Professional Practice is seeking a Research and Data Analyst to support the College of Education (COE) by capturing data related to the placement of Towson University students in a variety of field settings and public Maryland school systems. This position oversees the entry, analyzing, and reporting of student clinical placement information. In addition, the Analyst facilitates the contract process for mentor teachers.   

Description
Manage multiple systems to coordinate the accurate and timely collection, entry, and maintenance of student placement data for both school and non-school placements. Through data assessment, build reports used for decision-making and informational purposes within the COE and for other key stakeholders. Develop a data-dashboard to broadly share placement information. Develop and document other solutions or innovations for the collection and display of data. Facilitate the processing of mentor contracts. Serve as the liaison to other campus departments including Office of Technology Services and Accounts Payable to ensure the accurate and timely processing of contracts for mentor teachers. Oversee payment of Professional Development Schools funds, mileage reimbursements, and other placement-related details. Respond to requests for data, ad hoc reports, or status of contracts via phone calls, emails, or walk-in inquiries. Ensure strict confidentiality in all conversations with students, department chairs, faculty, staff, and public school personnel. Provide notary services for Criminal History Disclosure forms completed by teacher candidates across the Education Unit. Work with COE Marketing and Public Relations Manager to develop sites to convey key information regarding mentor contracts, details and procedures for payment, and the data dashboard.

Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor's Degree
• Three years of work experience in data entry and analysis
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Proficient with Technology
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Experience with running queries and joining multiple data tables using different systems
• Excellent communication skills with demonstrated experience conveying data, metrics, and trends to diverse audiences

Preferred:
• Experience developing reports
• Experience with PowerBI
• Experience creating data dashboards
