Assistant/Associate Prof Disease Biology

The Department of Integrative Biology at the University of South Florida (USF), Tampa (www. seeks to fill a 9-month, full-time appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank in the field of Disease Biology. Salary is negotiable and commensurate on experience

Appropriate disciplinary specialties of the successful applicant could include but are not limited to disease ecology, behavior, physiology, host-pathogen interactions, sustainability, evolution, approaches for mitigating disease spread and identifying emerging diseases. Candidates studying any type of ecosystem (ex. marine, freshwater, terrestrial) are encouraged to apply.

Minimum Qualifications:
Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Normally will have produced creative work, professional writing or research in refereed and other professional journals. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor

Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants who have establish a strong externally-funded research program and can contribute to teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
