Job Description
The Department of Political Science at Sam Houston State University invites applications for a one-year renewable, full-time, non-tenure-track faculty position at the rank of lecturer beginning August, 2020. The successful candidate must have experience teaching face-to-face and online courses and must be credentialed to teach courses addressing legislative politics, voting behavior and elections, and quantitative methods. Preference will be given to candidates who also have experience involving students in community service learning projects, placing students in legislative internship positions, and working with local media. The teaching load for the position is four courses in both the fall and spring semesters. Summer courses are not included in the teaching load.

Degree Requirements
Applicants must have a PhD in political science from an accredited university or institution of higher learning and have their degrees in hand at the time of hire.
