Nursing Faculty Position

Ottawa University (est. 1865), one of the oldest private liberal arts and professional studies universities in the United States, invites applications for General Nursing Faculty Position.

Ottawa University serves over 4000 students and maintains campuses in Arizona, Kansas, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Online. The University’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing Programs with specialized accreditation have an active and vital presence within the University and a growing enrollment of more than 190 students studying at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

General Nursing Faculty Preferred Qualifications (Available in Kansas Locations):

Education: Earned doctorate in Nursing or related field from a regionally accredited university; Master of Science in Nursing

Work Experience: Minimum two years of experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care; two years of experience teaching in a pre- or post-licensure nursing program, preferably in both traditional and online format. Understanding and experience with nursing accreditation. Current RN license and eligible for licensure in Kansas

Required Skills and Abilities:
• Sufficient knowledge in nursing education to cultivate a learner-centered environment and to foster academic excellence,
• Understanding of and commitment to issues related to diversity
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Passion for Nursing and the education of related students
