The Special Assistant reports to the Provost and performs tasks that assist in the administrative, operational, and financial operations of the Academic Affairs Division, including supervision of a team of Operations Assistants. Other tasks include budget monitoring and administration for graduate and undergraduate studies, academic administrative offices, and the college library. This position actively engages in administrative planning to improve processes and procedures within the division and ensures compliance with current college policies and best practices.

An Associate's Degree is required and a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

The successful candidate will have at least 3years administrative and supervisory experience with significant experience managing budgets. Budgetary experience in higher education preferred.

The successful candidate will also have experience with the Microsoft Office Suite with advanced skills using Excel.

The ability to effectively organize work, conceptualize, and prioritize objectives; exercise independent judgement; accept responsibility for actions and decision; prepare and maintain accurate records and reports; and maintain confidentiality are required.
