Staff Diversity Coordinator

Job Summary

Provide project and administrative support for staff diversity, inclusion and engagement initiatives and activities.This position will interact on a regular basis with: Unit leadership and staff, members of employee resources groups, vendors, and external consultants. This position typically will advise and counsel: Unit management, GT staff This position will supervise: NA


Job Duty 1 -
Plan, coordinate, and provide project support for diversity and inclusion initiatives and other transformational culture building services. May include diversity dialogues, storytelling salons, action learning experiences, Employee Resource Group (ERG) events and activities, Diversity Roundtables, mentoring programs, cultural interventions and coaching services, and Diversity Advisory Council meetings.

Job Duty 2 -
Plan and implement events including budgets and developing agendas.

Job Duty 3 -
Co-facilitate learning/dialogues that foster an inclusive culture/community.

Job Duty 4 -
Provide administrative support including coordination and management of calendars and travel schedules.

Job Duty 5 -
Benchmark best practice programs related to diversity, culture, and inclusion.

Job Duty 6 -
Serve as primary contact for clients, customers, and colleagues.

Job Duty 7 -
Draft correspondence, presentations, reports, standard operation procedures, and detailed meeting minutes.

Job Duty 8 -
Maintain website or micro sites for unit.

Job Duty 9 -
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience
Three to four years of job related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in the following: Project Management, managing and reconciling budgets, interfacing with vendors, coordinating multiple calendars, and event planning. Knowledge and experience in Diversity and Inclusion programs.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
This job requires advanced knowledge of administrative/executive support, project management, event planning for large scale programs and initiatives; experience preparing and editing executive presentations, reports and documents; organized with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage multiple calendars; exceptional attention to detail and follow through. Additionally, this job requires a high proficiency in MS Office Suite and excellent communication skills. Ability to track and maintain multiple budgets and execute contractual agreements.
