Position Title: Assistant Controller

Job Summary
The University of West Florida Controller’s Office invites applications for the position of Associate Controller (102250).

The Assistant Controller maintains, develops and improves systems/procedures related to the cashiering function and Banner Student Accounts Receivable with the goal of increased efficiency and effectiveness while ensuring management is provided with the data necessary for analysis, reporting, and decision-making. The incumbent manages the student fee audit and fee spreads; maintains the CashNet eMarket University-wide solution; and assists with more department specific solutions. The incumbent assists in the preparation of various financial reports and the annual financial statements.

Work Location: Pensacola, FL

FLSA: Exempt

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience. For some positions assigned to this class special qualifications may be added to the minimum such as possession of a State of Florida CPA certificate.

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s or bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and five years of experience. Knowledge of the underpinnings of the Banner Student Accounts Receivable system and CashNet. Supervisory experience is desirable.

Salary Range: $63,000-$67,000 annually
