Civic Engagement Coordinator
The Civic Engagement Coordinator will join a dynamic team of professional and student staff to support and further the mission of the Center for Civic Engagement. The Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) cultivates partnerships that strengthen communities and develop active and engaged citizens.

The Civic Engagement Coordinator is responsible for planning, executing and supervising a variety of initiatives to promote and expand community and civic engagement opportunities for students, faculty and staff. This position will support CCE's voter engagement efforts, manage events and special projects, and ensure a high level of service in the CCE office. The Civic Engagement Coordinator will collaborate with campus and community partners, supervise students, and participate in a variety of rewarding projects.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

Manage and provide oversight of the front desk/reception area to ensure high quality service is delivered to students, faculty, staff and community members. This includes recruiting, scheduling, training and supervising a team of student Community Service Assistants; assisting with walk-in traffic and phone coverage as needed; and ensuring adequate staffing coverage
Support nonpartisan voter engagement activities, including supervision of student staff, organizing voter registration activities, coordinating communication and outreach materials, planning educational events, and maintaining strong collaborations with campus and community partners
Manage coverage of tabling, presentation and event requests and ensure that the CCE is represented at a variety of campus and community events
Work collaboratively with community organizations to understand community priorities, identify potential partnership opportunities and connect students to meaningful community-based opportunities
Assist with event planning and special projects
Promote CCE resources and opportunities to the campus and community
Work with individual students and student groups to identify, develop and/or implement community-based service projects

-Bachelor's degree required
-1-3 years of relevant professional experience

Preferred Qualifications:
-Master's degree in public administration, higher education administration, education or related field
-Experience organizing and participating in community and civic activities
-Event planning experience
-Experience working with college students
